Dhaka, March 8 -- A construction worker died after falling from an under-construction building in Dhaka's Airport area on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Md Hridoy Hossain, 22, son of Omar Ali from Chakbeltoil village under Sadar upazila in Jamalpur district.

The incident occurred around 4:40 pm when the worker attempted to jump from the fourth floor of an 11-story under-construction building to an adjacent structure but fell and sustained severe injuries.

His coworkers immediately took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
