, Aug. 27 -- The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday wrapped up its four-day hearing on claims and objections regarding the re-demarcation of parliamentary constituencies, ahead of the national election planned to be held in February 2026.
"The hearings on claims, complaints and recommendations over 84 constituencies in 33 districts have been completed," said EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed at a press briefing at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city in the afternoon.
Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin chaired the hearing sessions held from August 24-27 at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city.
