Cumilla, March 20 -- Hasnat Abdullah, chief organiser (South) of the National Citizen Party (NCP), said voters could not cast their votes in past three elections conducted by the Awami League administration.

He criticised the "Awami League administration," asserting it lacked the ability to hold a transparent and acceptable election. "We are not confident of acceptable elections until this administration is reformed," he said.

Speaking as the chief guest at an iftar event organised by the NCP in Cumilla's Shasongacha on Wednesday, Hasnat urged the interim government to organise local government elections in five or six phases as a test for the administration's transparency.
