Dhaka, June 21 -- The United States has reaffirmed that they are committed to working with Bangladesh to promote peace and stability in the region.

The two countries discussed the interim government's efforts ahead of the next national election in Bangladesh and growing trade and commercial ties.

US Department of State Spokesperson Tammy Bruce made the remarks rover the recent meeting held between National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau at the State Department in Washington, DC.
