, Dec. 20 -- A protest meeting was held at Chuadanga Press Club on Friday evening condemning attacks on the offices of leading newspapers Prothom Alo and The Daily Star, as well as harassment, torture, and killings of journalists.

The meeting strongly denounced similar attacks on media offices across divisional and district levels. Participants demanded the arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the killing of Inqilab Moncho convenor Sharif Osman Hadi, as well as justice for the assault on New Age editor Nurul Kabir.
