Chattogram, March 16 -- In a major triumph for law enforcement, the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) on Sunday said it had arrested top terrorist Chhoto Sazzad, who was on their list of criminals.

On Saturday (March 15), the police arrested him from the Bashundhara Shopping Mall in the capital.

This was confirmed by Amirul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Northern Zone of the city police.

He said, "A civil team from CMP arrested top terrorist Chhoto Sazzad from Bashundhara City in Dhaka. He will be brought to Chattogram. Further details will be provided later."
