Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- In a tragic turn of events, 86-year-old industrialist Velamati Chandrasekhara Janardhana Rao of Hyderabad was fatally stabbed by his grandson, 29-year-old Kilaru Keerthi Teja, following a heated argument over property distribution.
The incident occurred at Rao's residence, where Teja confronted his grandfather, alleging unfair asset allocation.
Reports indicate that Teja had received Rs 4 crore as his share of the ancestral property. The dispute escalated rapidly, culminating in Teja stabbing Rao over 70 times.
During the altercation, Teja's mother, Sarojini Devi, attempted to intervene and sustained injuries. She was promptly transported to a hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
