Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- India's ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr have been crowned the ICC Cricketers of the Year 2024, clinching the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy and the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy respectively.

Bumrah, India's Test vice-captain, became the first Indian to win the Sir Garfield Sobers Men's Cricketer of the Year award since Virat Kohli in 2018.

The 31-year-old fast bowler made a remarkable comeback to Test cricket in late 2023 after recovering from a back injury.

In 2024, he dominated the format, claiming 71 wickets at an average of 14.92 and a strike rate of 30.1.

In the women's category, Amelia Kerr's all-round brilliance earned her the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
