Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- The residential camp of Bangladesh national football team will begin on August 23 for the joint qualification (Round-1) for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023.

After the camp, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will finalise the 23-member final squad on August 31.

The decision was taken at a BFF National Teams Committee meeting chaired by committee chairman and BFF vice-president Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, at the Gemcon Group Office in Dhanmondi on Monday.

Earlier, Bangladesh were put in Group E along with Qatar, Oman, neighbouring India and Afghanistan.
