Dhaka, April 6 -- Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Tajul Islam claimed on Sunday that bombs had been planted to kill investigators working on enforced disappearance cases.
"While conducting this investigation, we discovered that bombs had been planted to kill those involved in the investigation, including myself as the Chief Prosecutor," said Tajul while speaking to reporters at the ICT premises.
He said, "We discovered semi-underground cells that had been sealed with walls, and the garbage had to be removed to uncover crime scenes."
He emphasised that the work of the investigators has faced numerous challenges, which is why the public may not be fully aware of the complexities involved.
