, Oct. 22 -- Actor Bobby Deol has opened up about the difficult phase in his Bollywood career when his films stopped performing at the box office, leaving him isolated in social and professional circles.

Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Deol said the sidelining was gradual. "People would meet me politely but soon drift away and form their own groups. I was left alone," he recalled. He added that party invitations also decreased, though the Deol family traditionally attends few social events. "Those who were warm with me at the top started ignoring me. People are with you as long as you have something to offer," he said.
