Thakurgaon, Feb. 12 -- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has won all three of Thakurgaon's three parliamentary constituencies in the 13th National Election.
In Thakurgaon-1, the party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, contesting on the BNP's much-loved 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol, secured victory.
Dr. Abdus Salam, also representing the BNP on the 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol, won the Thakurgaon-2 seat.
In Thakurgaon-3, BNP candidate Zahidur Rahman, contesting with the same symbol, emerged victorious.
Earlier, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir praised the voting process, saying the election was "festive, peaceful and beautiful."
