Dhaka, June 9 -- Voicing deep concern over the rise in the incidents of 'killing and rape', BNP on Sunday said the country is now passing through an 'awful and dangerous' situation.

Speaking at a press conference at BNP's Nayapaltan central office, party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi also criticised Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud for what he said giving 'false' statement involving BNP with a patrol bomb-like object found at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib University (BSMMU).
