Bangladesh, Dec. 14 -- Kabir Murad, an adviser to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, died at a city hospital on Saturday. He was 70.

Kabir Murad, also a former president of BNP's Magura district unit, breathed his last around 3:35pm at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, said BNP chairperson's media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

Murad is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Sayrul said Murad's first namaz-e-janaza will be held in front of BNP's Nayapaltan central office after Isha prayers today.

Later, his body will be brought to his village home in Magura Sadar upazila, and he will be buried at his family graveyard there on Sunday.
