, Nov. 5 -- Two people including BNP candidate of Chattagram-8 constituency Ershad Ullah were shot in an attack by armed miscreants during electioneering in Bayezid area of Chattagram port city on Wednesday.

The another injured person was identified as Sarwar Babla.

Officer-in-charge of Bayezid Police Station Arifur Rahman said a group of armed miscreants appeared during electioneering of Ershad Ullah at East Bayezid Hamzarbagh (Chalitati) around 6 pm and opened fire on him, leaving them injured.

Later, they were taken to Evercare Hospital in Chattogram.

Police are trying to identify those involved in the attack, said the OC.
