Dhaka, Dec. 4 -- BNP on Thursday announced 36 more candidates, including four for Dhaka, to contest the upcoming national election.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir revealed the names of the candidates at the party Chairperson's Gulshan office in the afternoon.

"The rest of the candidates will be announced later upon discussions with allies," he said.

On November 3, BNP announced a list of 237 candidates for the election and the following day suspended the nomination of Kamal Zaman Mollah for the Madaripur-1 constituency.
