, Jan. 7 -- National flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to begin operating direct flights on the Dhaka-Karachi-Dhaka route from January 29.

Initially, two weekly flights will operate on this route scheduled for every Thursday and Saturday.

The new route is expected to make travel between Bangladesh and Pakistan more convenient for passengers, said airlines in a press release.

It will also open new opportunities for business, tourism and family visits.
