Bhola, Sept. 2 -- A trader on Monday committed suicide after reportedly failing to repay loans taken from locals and NGOs at Kazirhat of Borhanuddin Upazila.

The deceased was identified as Md Nurunnobi, 55, son of late Fazle Rahman of the area and owner of a grocery shop at Kazirhat Bazar.

Md Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Borhanuddin Police Station, said the deceased had taken Tk 8/10 lakh from locals and different NGOs in loans.

Although his business was not running well, recently the lenders had been putting pressure on Nurunnabi to repay the loan money.

Being unable to bear the pressure, he committed suicide early Monday.

On information, police recovered the body in the morning. A note was found on which was written 'none is ...
