Dhaka, Nov. 10 -- The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has issued an important directive instructing its member factories not to respond to any communication from the Ready-Made Garments Sustainability Council (RSC) regarding the settlement of non-Occupational Safety and Health (Non-OSH) related complaints.
The BGMEA has specifically instructed factories to disregard any letters, circulars, or communications from the RSC concerning the non-OSH complaint mechanism.
The move comes after the RSC Managing Director recently sent a letter to factories outlining the process for resolving non-OSH (non-occupational safety and health) complaints.
