Lalmonirhat, March 17 -- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) foiled an alleged attempt of the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to build a barbed-wire fence near the zero point along Dahgram border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Monday.

Subedar Lutfur Rahman, commanding officer of Panbari Company of BGB 51 Battalion, said the members of the Arun Camp of the 6th BSF Battalion of West Bengal attempted to build a barbed-wire fence with iron rod near Sardar Para area on Monday morning.

Being informed, BGB officials rushed to the spot and asked the BSF members to stop building the fence.
