, Nov. 9 -- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized arms, ammunition, drugs and other contraband items worth Tk 206.42 crore during anti-smuggling drives across the country, especially in bordering areas in the month of October.
During this period, the paramilitary force seized 3.262 kgs of gold, 11.410 kgs of silver, 1,71,946 cosmetics, 6,227 pieces of Imitation jewelry, 33,910 sarees, 19,580 three-piece/shirt-piece/bed-sheet/blankets, 16,991 pieces of readymade garments, 569 meter of clothes, 17,61,526 fireworks, 6.052 cft timber, 4,589 kgs of tea leaves, 10,392 kgs of betel nuts, 31,651 kgs of coal,535 cubic feet stone, 37,355 kgs of cotton/nets, 251 mobile phone sets, 31,678 mobile display, 48,286 glasses, 1500 cattle/buffalo...
