Barishal, Feb. 9 -- A victory celebration for Fortune Barishal's second consecutive Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title ended in chaos on Sunday.

Gross mismanagement and inadequate security arrangements in the divisional headquarter ruined what was supposed to have been a celebration with the people of Barishal. At least 10 people were injured.

The event held at Bells Park in the city, was meant to celebrate Fortune Barishal's triumph over Chattogram in the BPL final in Dhaka on Friday night.

The championship trophy arrived in Barishal on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by the team members. Thousands of fans gathered at the venue to witness the players and the trophy presentation, followed by a scheduled music concert.
