, Sept. 10 -- A Banned Chhatra League (BCL) activist was allegedly attacked in Sylhet city on Tuesday night, with reports saying the tendons of his hands and feet were cut.
The incident took place around 10 pm in the Lakkatura tea garden area, according to Sylhet Airport Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Syed Anisur Rahman.
The injured, Rahat Hossain, 24, son of Faruk Hossain from Bonkalapara area of the city, is currently undergoing treatment at Osmani Medical College Hospital.
OC Anisur Rahman said, "A group of unidentified people attacked Rahat on Tuesday night. During the assault, his hands and feet were struck with sharp weapons. Investigation is ongoing to identify the attackers."
