Bangladesh to play in Inter-Parliamentary Cricket World Cup
Dhaka, July 7 -- Bangladesh Parliamentarian Cricket Team is set to participate in the first-ever Inter-Parliamentary Cricket World Cup (IPCWC) in England.
The IPCWC is scheduled to take place from July 9 to July 14.
MPs from eight cricket-playing nations - Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, South Africa and hosts England - will compete in the tournament being held in parallel to ICC World Cup 2019.
A team of 17 MPs, led by former national cricket team captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy, is scheduled to reach London today.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, is coordinating with the host Parliament in collaboration with Bangladesh Cricket Board, the Foreign Ministry said here on Sunday.
