Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- Bangladesh has sought active participation of Ireland in the upcoming international conference on Rohingyas and called for appropriate international pressure on Myanmar for a durable solution in this regard, considering the context of the present conflict there.
Bangladesh also requested Ireland for facilitation of visas for Bangladeshi students aspiring to pursue higher studies in Ireland.
The issues were discovered when Ambassador of Ireland to Bangladesh (based in New Delhi) Kevin Kelly met Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at the latter's office on Monday.
