Dhaka, Jan. 1 -- The year 2025 ended with an upward trend in remittances sent by expatriate Bangladeshis, with Bangladesh receiving over $3.22 billion in December.
Bangladesh received $16.26 billion in inward remittances in six months from July to December in the current fiscal year, FY 2025-26.
Forex reserves hit 3-year high as December remittances cross $3bn
According to the latest update from Bangladesh Bank, the $ 3.22 billion remittance in December is an increase of 22.3 percent compared to the same period last year. In December of the previous year (2024), the country received around $ 2.63 billion in December.
