Bangladesh, Nov. 12 -- Khulna - A day after imposing it following cyclone 'Bulbul' that lashed the world's largest mangrove forest, the Forest Department on Tuesday lifted the ban on the entry of tourists to the Sundarbans.

The decision was taken at a meeting between the Forest Department and Tour Operators' Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) at Khulna Forest Conservation Office around 11 am, Forest Conservator of Khulna Zone Moinuddin Khan said.

However, tourism activities in the Sundarbans will remain suspended from November 25 to November 27 to clean the forest, he said.

A total of 63 camps of Forest Department were working to assess the extent of damage caused by the cyclone, Moinuddin added.
