Dhaka, March 30 -- Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the state guesthouse Jamuna.

During the meeting, the Army Chief briefed him on the measures undertaken by the army to ensure overall security during the forthcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, said a media release sent from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

He highlighted the army's role in maintaining smooth operations at launch terminals, train stations, and bus stands, as well as ensuring uninterrupted vehicular movement on all major roads.

Moreover, he discussed efforts to mediate between industrial owners and workers to maintain harmony in the labor sector.
