Bangladesh, Sept. 20 -- A Dhaka court on Sunday fixed September 28 to deliver verdict against Regent Group Chairman Shahed Karim in an arms case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate KM Imrul Kayes fixed the date.

On September 17, the prosecution completed arguments and sought maximum penalty for Shahed in the case.

The tribunal recorded statements of 11 prosecution witnesses.

On September 16, Shahed claimed himself to be completely innocent before the court.

Rab members arrested him from a bordering area of Satkhira on July 15. They also recovered a firearm, some bullets and foreign currencies from his possession.
