, March 23 -- A court on Sunday granted bail to Akhter Hossain, a convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, who was arrested in connection with a clash during an Iftar Mahfil organised by the National Citizen Party (NCP) in Sylhet city.

Judge of the Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Court-2, Sagir Ahmed passed the order.

Akhter was produced before the court in the afternoon.

Akhter was arrested from the Ausha area under Sylhet's Jalalabad area, said Shahporan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Monir Hossain.
