Tangail, April 4 -- An Ansar commander died after a soil-laden truck lost control and ran over him in Delduar upazila of Tangail on Friday.

The deceased Mohammad Shafiullah Mia (47) hailed from from Moulvipara village of the upazila, said Sub-inspector Mohammad Ali of Delduar Police Station.

Shafiullah was serving as the commander of the Ansar members responsible for the security of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office in Monohorgonj, Cumilla. He had come home on Eid vacation, the SI said.
