, Feb. 5 -- Police have arrested president of Sujanagar Upazila Awami League who was earlier snatched from their custody following an attack on a police vehicle in Pabna's Sujanagar upazila.

Abdul Wahab was arrested during a drive in Gajnar Beel area of Mathurapur in Vayna Union on Wednesday morning, police said.

Sujanagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Mostafa said Wahab was hiding in a house in Gajnar Beel.

Tipped off, police conducted a drive around 7 am and arrested two people including Wahab.

Earlier, 12 others were arrested in connection with the attack on the police vehicle, he added.
