Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar has criticized those who raise prices of daily commodities unfairly, saying they would no longer be spared.

The adviser also urged the students who protested during the July uprising to join in fighting against unjust price hikes.

She made the comments while speaking at the 'Inauguration of the Sale of Milk, Eggs and Meat at Affordable Prices in Ramadan' programme at the Siraj Mia Memorial Model School premises in the capital's Merul Badda on Friday.

She said that we will celebrate this Ramadan in a different way and our responsibility is greater than ever. "As an interim government, we aim to reduce the problems faced by the public, especially rising prices," she said.
