Bhola, Aug. 12 -- The driver of an additional superintendent of police (Addl SP) has been closed for beating an SP's brother here.

SP Mohammad Kaisar said the action was taken against constable Jasim for beating Mokammel, Deputy Commissioner's office assistant and the brother of SP Morshed Alam who is posted at the Police Headquarters.

Locals said Jasim was going to drop Addl SP's wife home on Sunday afternoon when Mokammel, who was returning home by his motorcycle, requested for side to overtake the vehicle.

As Jasim was not giving him side for long, Mokammel wanted to know the reason behind it when the vehicle stopped at Pakkhirpool in the district town.
