Dhaka, March 19 -- Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to file a case against Awami League leader and former MP Abdus Sobhan Golap over allegations of illegally amassed wealth and suspicious financial transactions.
ACC Director General Aktar Hossain disclosed the decision at a press briefing held at the ACC headquarters on Wednesday.
According to the ACC, Golap accumulated over Tk 68 crore from undisclosed sources, while Tk 97.63 crore was transacted suspiciously across 53 bank accounts.
Meanwhile, a Dhaka court has ordered the attachment of all movable and immovable assets belonging to Golap, his wife Gulshan Ara Mia, son Ivan Sobhan Mia, and daughter Anisha Golap Mia.
