Dhaka, July 31 -- Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday approved the filing of the case over land acquisition fraud under the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-1) involving the construction of the depot access corridor at Pitalganj mouza in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district.

According to preliminary investigations, Riaz Uddin (57), son of Haji Meraj Uddin fraudulently withdrew around Tk 4.73 crore from the government treasury under the pretense of land acquisition compensation.
