Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- Nine new dengue cases were reported in the 24 hours leading up to Saturday morning, bringing the total number of cases to 1,170 this year.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), four of the new cases were reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation, while one was hospitalized in the Dhaka Division (outside the city corporation).

The number of deaths remained at 10, with no new fatalities reported during this period, the DGHS added.

Currently, 131 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.
