Benapole, April 26 -- Seven Bangladeshi returned home on Saturday after serving a three-year imprisonment in India for illegal entry.
The returnees are: Rabiul Islam (28), Faisal (30), Mintu Barai (32), Aynal Matabbar (35), Ripon Kholifa (35), Shahidul Sheikh (33), and Alamin Hossain (26).
They are residents of Jashore, Narail, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Brahmanbaria, and Barisal districts.
Ibrahim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Benapole Immigration Police, said the Petrapole Immigration Police of India handed them over to the Benapole Checkpost Immigration Police nn Saturday evening.
Later, they were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station after completing immigration procedures, he said.
