, Jan. 31 -- Five farmer were killed when a dump truck crashed into a battery-run van on Mohadevpur-Patnitala road in Mohadevpur upazila of Naogaon district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Biren Pahan, 35, son of Koko Pahan, Ujjal Pahan, 38, son of Naren Pahan, Bipul Pahan, 25, son of Jhatu Pahan, Sanju Urao, 45, son of Marang Orao and Biplab Bahan, 22, son of Jhatu Pahan of Nurpur area of the upazila.
