Khulna, March 30 -- Four law enforcement officers were injured in a gunfight with the notorious Kala Lavlu terrorist group in Khulna in early hours of Sunday.

Among the injured were three policemen and a navy member, said Azam Khan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonadanga Police Station.

Besides, 4 members of the Kala Lavlu group were also wounded in the clash, he said.

Acting on a tip-off, Sonadanga police launched an operation in the Arambagh area around midnight, suspecting that members of the Kala Lavlu terrorist group were holding a secret meeting in a building near Arambagh mosque.

Upon the police's arrival, the terrorists opened fire, leading to a fierce gunfight.
