Narail, March 15 -- year-old man was killed and eight others, including policemen injured in a clash between two groups in Kalia upazila of Narail on Saturday.

Haseem Mollah, a resident of Silimpur village in Hamidpur union of the upazila, died while undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College and Hospital, said Rashidul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalia Police Station.

Joint forces detained Siraj Mollah, 44, and Azizar, 55, with a one-shot gun and bullets during the clash.

According to police and locals, on Saturday morning, supporters of Thandu Mollah from Silimpur village in Hamidpur Union of the upazila attacked his opponent, Jony Mollah, and his group.
