, Feb. 8 -- Dhaka, Feb 8 (UNB) - The bomb disposal unit of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has defused three cocktails found on the footpath in front of Ananda Cinema Hall in the capital's Farmgate area on Saturday.

According to police, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station got information about the suspicious objects around 11:10 am through a call to the national emergency helpline 999.

Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the scene.

The cocktails were later safely defused at the old Trade Fair ground following proper procedures, said Assistant Commissioner (Media) Jahangir Kabir.
