, April 2 -- three Bangladeshi nationals, who were abducted in Libya, have been rescued.
According to the Bangladesh Embassy in Libya, local authorities conducted a raid in Misrata area and freed the abducted Bangladeshis.
The operation was carried out by security forces following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Libya into allegations of kidnapping and torture of foreign nationals for ransom in Al-Ghairan police station area of Misrata.
During the operation, two suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in the abduction.
