Dhaka, April 13 -- Twenty Bangladeshi citizens, victims of trafficking, on Sunday left Yangon for Bangladesh from the MITT Port in Myanmar and they are expected to reach Chattogram on April 15.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar Dr M Monwar Hossain urged all to exercise caution when travelling abroad for employment opportunities and advised against falling prey to suspicious or deceptive job offers.
These minor boys were being trafficked by unscrupulous agents to Malaysia and on their way Myanmar law enforcing agencies captured them for illegal trespassing.
Following negotiations with relevant Myanmar authorities and verification of their Bangladeshi nationality, the Embassy has arranged repatriation.
