Dhaka, July 23 -- Two more cases have been filed in connection with the clashes centring the NCP rally in Gopalganj that left five people dead and scores injured on July 16.
Khorshed Alam, officer-in-charge of Tungipara Police Station, said sub-inspector Monir Hossain filed the case against 82 leaders and activists of Awami League and its student organisation under Special Power Act on Tuesday night.
The case was filed for creating panic among people and halted vehicular movement by torching tyres on the highway in Tungipara upazila in a bid to create an obstacle centering NCP rally in Gopalganj, according to the case statement.
Meanwhile, another case was filed with Sadar Police Station in connection with the clashes centering the NCP...
