Brahmanbaria, Feb. 4 -- Two people have been killed over a dispute regarding a piece of land in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria.

The incident happened at the Bishutara village in Kalikach Union of the upazila on Tuesday morning, said Sarail Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Rafiqul Islam.

The deceased were identified as Azad Mia (55), the son of the late Omar Ali, and Amanat Mia (60), an associate of Azad's nephew, Insan Mia. Azad and Insan had been involved in a long-standing dispute over a piece of land in the village.
