Rangpur, Nov. 29 -- Two candidates were detained at an examination centre in Rangpur after being caught with electronic devices during a recruitment test for the post of 'Assistant Sub-Food Inspector' under Directorate General of Food, on Saturday afternoon.

They were subsequently sentenced to 20 days in jail by a mobile court in Rangpur. The convicted candidates were sent to Rangpur Jail following legal procedures.

The sentenced individuals are Idris Ali Akand (30), son of Abdul Bari Mia from Muriyadho village under Sadullapur police station in Gaibandha, and Sajjadul Islam (24), son of Ershadul from Maltibari village under Ulipur police station in Kurigram.
