, March 17 -- Two friends were killed and another injured when a truck hit a motorbike on Dhaka-Bogura highway in Sherpur upazila of Bogura district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Shubho Islam, 20, son of Abdul Hye and Hridoy Hasan, 20, son of Solaiman of Biroil village.

The accident occurred around 11 am when a truck hit the motorbike carrying three friends while returning to home after collecting photographs for voter ID cards, leaving Shubho and Hridoy dead on the spot and injured Sagar, said Azizul Haque, in-charge of Sherpur Highway Police.

Mother, daughter stabbed dead at Bogura home

Later, he was taken to Sherpur Upazila Health Complex.

Police could not arrest the truck driver as he managed to flee the scene.
