Madaripur, April 29 -- Two people, including the driver of a pickup truck died and two pedestrians were alos injured when the vehicle overturned in Madaripur on Monday.

The accident happened around 7:30 am in the Pakhira area of the Sadar upazila.

The deceased were identified as Mahindra driver Enamul Hossain (25) and driver's assistant Arif Shikder (17). Enamul was the son of Siraj Ali Mira of Lahuria area of Lohagarha upazila in Narail district and Arif was the son of Anwar Shikder of Madhyachak village in Sadar upazila of Madaripur.

AHM Salauddin, officer-in-charge of Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station, confirmed the matter.
