Sylhet, Dec. 18 -- Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB has arrested two people on charge of abducting a man and subsequently torturing in Sylhet.

The abductors allegedly also stripped him and filmed before demanding the ransom.

On Wednesday night, a RAB team arrested the suspects from the Barthkhala area under Dakshin Surma Police Station in Sylhet city; a media release sent from the RAB-9 shared this information on Wednesday night.

The arrestees are Ahmed Hossain Mahin, 30, son of Nazmul Hossain of Barthkhala, and Suhel Ahmed, 24, son of Anwar Hossain of Halishar of Naria upazila under Shariatpur district.

On 30 November, the victim, after attending a court hearing in Sylhet, was going to home in Kanaighat upazila by a bus.
